Familia,
In light of the “monster storm” that has been forecasted to impact Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, beginning today Sunday, February 4th, our leadership has decided to pivot from our in-person gathering to the safety of our Zoom Living Room tonight at our usual gathering hour at 4:00pm PST.
This storm has been predicted to be “potentially historic” and has put our state on high alert as the ground is already saturated from recent rains. Officials expect life-threatening damage and have issued evacuation orders in some parts. There is a possibility of flash flooding of neighborhood streets and highways. The Weather Prediction Center for Pasadena predicts excessive rainfall and places our city under moderate risk today around our gathering time with wind gusts of 24mph.
Familia, this is one of those calls where we aren’t experts on the weather, but we do always want to err on the side of caution because the safety of our familia is more important. We also consider our OC church familia driving in from far away and potentially driving back in hazardous highway conditions.
Please join us on Zoom here tonight at 4:00pm PST!
