This week we’re highlighting two important things that will foster ongoing rhythms of justice both personally and communally, this month and beyond. We want to bring these before you as we continue in our sermon series Rhythms of Justice:
Human Trafficking Awareness Month
Christine Cesa did a powerful job sharing the tragic and real realities of human trafficking this past Sunday. In doing so, she invited us to write affirmation cards that will be given to survivors. If you took cards home to write this week, don’t forget to bring them back. And if you haven’t been able to write one yet, Christine will have a table set up in the lobby for you to do so.
Alongside this, she also pointed us toward an Amazon gift list with felt needs of items that will also be given to survivors. You can go to the link here and know that these will make a direct, tangible impact on the lives of many who need it most in our communities.
Soul Rhythms Workshop
Join Pastora Inés next Friday, January 27 from 12-1 PM to craft a Rule of Life here at the beginning of this new year. We all need a trellis that can sustain healthy rhythms for work, play, rest, and even calling! Join us during your lunch hour on Zoom from anywhere and receive this invitation to set our intentions for this year so our bodies and souls can flourish. Sign up here to receive Zoom log-in instructions and what to bring. Invite a friend!
We hope you join us in these important endeavors! And we look forward to being with you soon!
