Dear Familia,
As we’re preparing to engage one of the most pivotal passages in all of Scripture this coming Sunday – the border crossing, boundary-breaking, Spirit-sent encounter between Peter and Cornelius – I’ve been struck by the truth that transformation happens in the closeness of community. If you follow along closely to the story, this is not just a chance meeting of two men. But even more, if we zoom just a bit out, we find friends and familia all around the whole story. Dear companions closely connected to the movement of God among all of them. It’s really a beautiful glimpse of God’s divine desire to be intimately engaged with people and peoples.
Small Groups
We are so excited that this Sunday will be our church’s first real opportunity to engage with one another just like this in a more communal, consistent rhythm! We’re officially launching small groups where we can enter into homes or share space online. And in so doing, we believe true transformation is going to arise among us in border crossing, boundary-breaking, Spirit-sent ways! Make sure you join us this Sunday as we roll out sign-ups and introduce all the new groups forming this Fall!
Volunteers
Also, as we continue to ground ourselves in this new season, we’re still hoping to have more people help serve in various capacities. Currently, our greatest need areas involve Set Up and Clean Up. These flow super smoothly when we have a good-sized group. So the more the merrier! If you’re feeling led to help there (or somewhere else), please fill out this form!
Kids
One area we’re already excited about is we are beginning to proactively provide care for our kids, pre-K and under, in the service. We believe this is the next step toward having our own nursery one day as a church! And in the meantime, there are leaders ready to come alongside parents and guardians during the service to help share the load of caring for our littlest kiddos!
Looking forward to seeing you soon and connecting more deeply as people and peoples!
Bobby
