Desperation as Inspiration

This sermon was recorded for Own Your Faith ministries in Santa Clarita, CA, under the leadership of Pastor Phil Allen Jr. In this message, we look at the story of Peter walking on water in Matthew 14. And we focus on Peter’s desperate prayer of, “Lord, save me!” as an inspiration for how we may pray in this season.

This word is for those who have been laboring in love — with blood, sweat, and tears — but have found themselves tired. Worn out. Spent.

May you call out to the Lord, as Peter did. And may God meet you on that holy ground.

Hi Pastor Bobby! I knew you at FM from Life Group ministry. Glendar told me you’re co-pastoring a church in Pasadena. That’s so exciting! This is such a refreshing Word from God, especially at such a time as this. I look forward to experiencing more of this ministry.

    Blessings,

Trish, so great to hear from you! And I’m so glad God met you through His Word. I remember all those Sunday LifeGroup days well! Such a sweet community was formed in that space together! And it makes me happy to know you’re still connected to Glendar. Please do stay in touch!
