November 6, 2022 | Meleca Consultado | Acts 13:32-52
In Acts 13 we see Paul and Barnabas following the leading of the Holy Spirit to leave Jerusalem and to begin to share the Good News of Jesus in Pampos and Antioch. And though they experience disbelief and rejection with the Nation of Israel, the reception of the Good News is powerfully and gladly received by the multi-ethnic hearers in Antioch. We now see the Gospel moving from Jerusalem to Judea, Samaria, and the end of the earth. In this sermon, we pause to examine the differing response given to the message of Christ and the reality that the full message of Christ can feel like holy disruptions to our former ways of thinking, our beliefs and value, and even our vision for the future. We wrestle with what might our response be telling us of what God is seeking to do in our lives.
