What Kingdom collaboration looks like

This is what Kingdom collaboration looks like.

Shared tables and arms around shoulders and the kind of laughter that catches you off guard. What a wonderful week we had at the @cov_church midwinter conference. But nothing was more meaningful than connecting with our newest Kingdom partners. Let us tell you a taste of the story of just how we got here:

Several months ago, Lead Pastor @gailsongbantum from @seattlequest was visiting L.A., and reached out to connect with @inesmcbryde over coffee. In that one divine appointment, PG caught the vision for this church we hope for, and brought it back to leadership at Quest.

Over the course of the Fall, we met with Quest’s elders, sharing our stories and casting our vision. And we quickly realized we had found shared DNA: a church established in love, pursuing justice, and embodying grace and mercy. We saw in Quest a multiethnic body of believers, empowering women to run into the fullness of God’s call on their lives, and carrying out a generous spirit of collaboration whose only aim in this partnership was to advance Christ’s kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. And to do so with generosity and joy.

This week, we were able to finally meet the pastors who have committed to us both relationally and financially in beautiful and bountiful ways.

Liz, Gail, Brenda, Ruby, Katey, and Aaron: what a privilege and joy to be in this with you. We are #bettertogether and #bearingwitness as one to the wonder of our miracle making God. WE are all your church, Lord. Somos familia.
